We live and work in a busy world. Lots of us have jobs that take us away from our little people during the day, when traditionally the library offers storytimes. Even if one parent is available to attend storytime with their children, often, the other parent feels left out. I understand this – storytime is fun! Watching your child lose themselves in a story, song or dance is nothing short of amazing. In order for more parents to be able to share this experience, we at the Clarkston Independence District Library have decided to offer a Pajama Storytime! This storytime will run on Thursdays (beginning January 8) from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. It will have everything our normal storytimes have, including crafts and sensory activities! An added bonus is that you can wear your P.J.’s ! Of course, this is optional but you could think of it this way : your child will be all ready for bedtime when you get home, complete with bedtime stories and pajamas! All that’s left for you to do is a good tooth brushing!
This storytime is fun for the whole family. It’s planned with an age group of 0-5 years in mind, but feel free to bring older siblings who might still think it’s fun to have stories read to them!
