It is almost Storytime Again!!!!

Can you believe school starts next week, and the week after that our Storytimes begin again!  We are so excited!  (By the way, Baby Storytime has actually kept running all summer – with a one week break at the beginning of August) so if you have a little person between the ages of 0-12 months, please join us on Thursdays at 10 am!) We have lots of great stories, activities, crafts and sensory ideas ready to go for you all!  Below is our schedule:

Mondays             Little Gigglers Storytime

Ages 13-23 months with caregiver

10:30 am

Tuesdays             Preschool Storytime

Ages 3-5 years

10:30 am

Wednesdays       Wee Wigglers Storytime

Age 2 with caregiver

10:30 am

Thursdays            Baby Storytime

Ages 0-12 months with caregiver

10:30 am

For the fall, these will be the storytimes available, but we are looking to see what our community might want more of in the Winter.  We are considering, depending on the number of participants, adding an 11:30 session to all of the above programs.  We are also considering a Pajama Family Storytime, to be held in the evening.  We would love to hear your thoughts on these programming ideas.  Please leave us a comment here in the blog!

Also, on September 13, the Clawson Lions Club will be conducting their monthly vision screening for preschoolers.  Recently, when we mentioned this screening on our Facebook page, a mother commented that this screening caught her child’s astigmatism.  This screening is free and the Lions’ Club is amazing for providing our community with the screening at the library once a month.  If your child is 5 months or older, please take advantage of this screening between 10 am and 12 pm on Saturday September 13.
